I started a new piece. Well, I actually started it over a week ago, but, forgot to update, so, yeah...
When it's done (which should be tonight), It'll be titled Chats/Tarots.

It's a copy of a chat line clipping from The Sun (a U.K.- based tabloid newspaper), scaled up 4X, and made from synthetic felt and black cotton thread.

The Life and Loves of Jet Tea

  My brother wrote a novel. It's a sort of semi fictional story of a guy called Jet Tea (who, for all intents and purposes, is real), and his quest for love.

  Or so I think. I haven't read it yet. (I will, I AM a good brother! I brought a copy that my girlfriend's going to bring over to Rotterdam with her next week) But maybe you should check it out all the same.

  It's titled The Life and Loves of Jet Tea, and it's around 6 pounds I think. It's also a struggling writers first publication, so, yeah...

  Here's a link to his blog (we all blog, don't we?). There are also some great short stories on there, like The Little Girl who Thought She was Sonic the Hedgehog. That one's a laugh riot.

Sun in Rotterdam

  Wondering when it was gonna happen. And it's finally here. The sun is out and everything looks great! Unfortunately it's still as windy as ever, so actually you still need to wear a massive coat and a hoodie (and you're still fucking freezing), but it's all so much more exciting. This was the view form my studio yesterday:

 Pretty nice eh? Might do something about the dirty window today...


  In other news, I've been doing a bit of life drawing, haven't I? These images are from the 2nd session, and before this, I hadn't done any for at least a year. It's only now that I'm actually drawing what's in front of me, rather than just guessing what's there. I guess that's why none of my drawings at the moment go past the line drawing stage - 'cos I take too much time mapping out the shape first. Oh well. Practice = perfect 'n' all that.. Every cloud... No use crying over spilt so and so...
Yeah..

Work in Progress

I finished the watercolour stills Maid Service a while back now. I'm currently working on a new collection, titled Teacher Gives Special Lesson. Once again, the images are derived from the free porn website Youporn. After the paintings are completed (This time ten, instead of four), There will be another script reading,  of the original movie. I'm thinking of doing a live reading also.

Here's a couple of the final paintings. I'll post the others when they're all finished. Hopefully that will be a couple of weeks...

I'm also doing this at the moment. The idea is to elevate something unquestionably 'Low culture' into something uquestionably 'High culture'. It's also a critique on the porn industry. This is just one of several stills from a porno movie I'm turning into watercolours.
